Couple Is Forced To 'Childproof' Their House Because Of Their Chaotic Cat's Shenanigans (Viral Thread)

If you're someone who's thinking of getting a cat, we have to warn you right now. Cats are little tiny criminals. They will bring chaos into your home like nothing else in the world. Of course, that's part of why we love them so much. Life would be so dang boring without our furry criminals. But it is something that you must know. Get ready to hide your breakable valuables, remove anything important from any shelf in the house, and have many of the things that you love be covered in scratches and hair, because no matter what it is, your hooligan cats will get to it. 

We all have to take precautions against our cats' shenanigans, but this couple had to go all out. They had to full-on childproof their home because their cat is truly a criminal mastermind. And by criminal mastermind, we mean he's too curious for his own good and keeps doing unexplainable, ridiculous things. Sigh, we love him.

    Henry is the most fun kind of cat in our opinion. Yes, there is something warm and comforting about having a lazy cat that only has zoomies once every two months. But there is something so insane and ridiculous about having a cat that causes so many shenanigans. Never a boring moment, and that's something to cherish.

    It somehow makes it even better that Henry is a black cat. We can't even imagine the number of times this little rascal was hiding somewhere in the middle of the night and giving you a heart attack when you found him.

A lot of food, attention, and litter changing. Occasionally he'll poop in the litter box while I'm in the middle of cleaning it. I think it's to remind me of who is really in charge.

    Font - CatsAnd Dessert OP +1.5 days ago I put a small cat tree on the side edge of the one in the picture. It covers it just enough to make it too difficult to lift. I keep the bathroom door closed at night because if I don't, he'll try to pick that one up. He gets upset that I'm sleeping and not giving him attention. I'll end up hearing the register bang against the tile repeatedly.
