Soooo many people don't get why I go to music festivals. My colleagues are always going off about how festivals are expensive, overcrowded, dusty, hot, and overall gross. Even the ones that sort of get it to question why I bother traveling to ones when I have so many in my own state. Why fly to Europe when you can drive for a couple of hours and set up a tent? Well, because I am, what I like to call, a true raver. Do I sound a bit conceited, stuck up, or delusional?

That could all be true, but when I go, I have an absolute blast. It's not that I am magically immune to all the above-mentioned issues with music festivals that definitely can be a damper. Tickets ARE expensive, there ARE a lot of people, it IS super dusty, hot, and gross. But the music, the people, the atmosphere… makes it all worth it. Plus, I love to travel, so there is that.
