A lot of people seem to think we live in a very lonely society. They're probably right, but being alone isn't always a bad thing. We definitely need a balance between being with other people and our time to ourselves.

That being said, it's still true that we can often be alone when we don't want to be. Even if we're the more introverted type, it's easy to get lonely sometimes. The real problem comes when we feel this way and we don't have anyone to talk to for whatever reason. Often, the best thing we can do in this situation is try and distract our mind.

As we all know, memes are the perfect candidate for this. They often speak to us like they're our friends, anyway. Is that kind of tragic? Maybe, but at least they inject some humor into the situation… that's got to help a little.
