An office's kitchen should be a safe space. It is where employees store the sustenance that will help keep them going throughout the day and is sometimes even a haven from the hustle and bustle of working. So when there is an employee who violates that sacred place, it throws off the entire peaceful balance of the staff. How can you trust your food there anymore? Now what? You gonna start bringing non-perishables for lunch only? It's a disaster.
One group of employees didn't let this go by unnoticed. This group of workers were at the office of a manufacturing plant. They agreed to all pitch in for groceries to last them to week and that way they could save money on lunch. Instead, they seemed to be buzzing through their food. How could this be? They weren't eating more than usual. They discussed it and just couldn't figure it out. Until one day one of the employees catches the plant manager, someone who does not pitch for groceries, but who makes way more than them, making a huge sandwich… These ladies called her out and the manager held her entitled ground. Even after they decided to stop buying groceries the manager asked them where the food was and they hit her with the very epic "we can't afford to keep feeding people that make more than we do."
