When they first started dating, he was vague about his job, but later revealed he owns a construction company, eventually also revealing that he has significant rental income from corporate real estate that he owns.
The entire time they have been together OP's family has disapproved of her fiancé and makes snide remarks about him, insinuating that he is beneath her.
This came to a head when, while preparing for the couple's wedding, her parents mentioned a prenup. OP blurted out the fiancé's earnings, claiming to defend him, but he got upset at her for revealing his secret, and her family is also mad that she had been keeping this from them.
This has left OP stuck in the middle and unsure of what to do.
Readers declared OP to be in the wrong for telling her parents, largely voting "YTA" (You're the a-hole.) They felt that she had told her parents to defend herself and her parent's opinion of the kind of men she'd go for rather than to defend her fiancé himself.
