25 Jurassic Park Memes for Dinosaur Devotees

The day I found out that Michael Crichton's "Jurassic Park" was an optional reading for a project in my honors biology class was one of the only times the public school science curriculum sent me over the moon. It was later that day that I learned the hard lesson of just how different movie adaptations can be to their source material.

I grew up like a lot of children; enamored with the concept of dinosaurs. In the same way that monster trucks appeal to children, the awe-inspiring massiveness and ferociousness of dinosaurs are just inherently interesting to the common child. The thing is, the Jurassic Park book, differs a lot from the adventure-themed dinosaur situations of the Spielberg film. Sure, both have dinosaur-fueled mayhem. The film chooses to emphasize the situation its characters have been placed while the book emphasizes the inherent conflict of man versus nature. Spoiler alert, mankind's hubris will always lead to its downfall. The book is still among my favorites. It's just much different than the original film and its subsequent entries. That being said, who doesn't like the Jurassic Park film franchise? Even if it's dumbed-down dinosaur mayhem, it's still a heck of a lot of fun.
