Plenty of the things we experience in life are simply OK. Just another meh situation, nothing to write home about. This is in contrast to the memories that we really hold onto, that are quite often about the extremes that we go through. Our highs and lows kind of dictate the way the so-so majority of existence goes, so it's no surprise that they're the most impactful.

Perhaps it means that we should strive to have more of the highs, to make the forgettable moments better. It's no easy task to achieve this, but one way that we can try is turning the mundane into something beautiful. Like this list of memes, for instance. It might not be so memorable if you peruse it normally, but if you take the attitude that it is going to be something to look back on with a smile, you might think about it differently.
