Eavesdropping TikToker Faces Criticism for Exposing Strangers Gossiping About Friend's Wedding

It's safe to say that all of us have been talked about behind our backs at some point or another. Gossip is an unavoidable part of the human experience, and even those of us with boring lives face the scrutiny of busybodies now and then. If we want to get even more uncomfortable with it, there's also a high chance that our closest friends have occasionally spoken ill of us out of earshot. Malicious or not, two facedness is everywhere.

Unfortunately, these days the pastime of trash talking in public comes with the major risk of an attempted social media shaming. Such was the case for a trio of bridesmaids, who had their mean gossip session about their friend's wedding broadcast by a disapproving stranger on TikTok.

They certainly weren't being very nice, but not everyone thought that warranted this reaction. When the video hit Twitter, viewers couldn't help but enter a debate about it. Getting married in the internet age is a minefield in more ways than one.
