'He has no idea what's next': Resident meddles with neighbor's plans to construct a roof for elderly father, so neighbor builds 80-foot wall

One grumpy, 'neighborly' man took things too far when he blocked the road, not allowing construction workers to drive through to his fellow neighbor's property, to build a roof for their elderly, 93-year-old father.

This neighbor, who we will call OP, told the story on u/pettyrevenge, and at the end of it, asked people which color would be the most unattractive color to paint a fence. Obviously, not his own side. But let's start at the beginning. What happened goes as follows… OP's neighbor blocked the road, despite being told by OP that trucks would be driving through, which led to OP getting mad, which resulted in OP building a staggeringly high, ugly fence to spite his neighbor.

One thing led to another, and a petty back and forth ensued, which consisted of building permits, colors, yelling, taping, and whatnot. OP even uploaded pictures of the fence to his post, which I have generously provided below, to give readers a better idea of what exactly was going on. The neighbor told OP he needed a permit, which OP happily provided (turns out it is not that hard to get a permit), and that set the neighbor off all over again. Next, a factory's lawyer played a very long game of revenge, but ultimately ended in victory for both the factory, and the lawyer.

    Font - Neighbor has been an absolute j for over a year. (Example: My 93 year old dad lives on the property, and it needed a roof. I let the neighbor know there will be trucks in the road I own, but one he has a "right of way" but no ownership. He blocks the road until the Sheriff tells him to leave.)

    Font - Edit: A 4 foot wall does not need a permit. I consulted a general contractor who walked me through the process to build 2 four foot walls, one behind the other. The County is "interpreting" the code to treat the 2 walls as one 8 foot wall. I could fight it - but it's a better use of my time to just pull a permit.

    Font - that the wall is wet and fleshy. It will stand out like an eyesore against a natural exterior. Next you want some kind of exaggerated texture. Make sure the cement or plaster you select sticks out at least 6 inches from the flat

    Font - surface. You want it to look like a poorly placed cement spike. Make sure there's no real pattern or rhythm to the placement of these troweled cement stalactites. When dry, spray those with high gloss Pepto-Bismol pink paint. Next, you really want to highlight those stalactite
