Caturday is a most holy of days for cats and feline paw-rents alike. It is a day reserved for us hoomans to appreciate and celebrate our fur babies and remind ourselves of how important they are in our lives. We have spent a whole week away from them, wrapped up in our own world, our own dramas and silly distractions.
Today is about leaving all that behind and showing our purry friends just how important they are. To do this, there are a few claw-tical things we must do. First is a morning feeding at a time that suits our fur baby, not us. You are not sleeping in today, today is about your cat. Then we have the cuddle policy. This will vary from cat to cat and paw-rents of cats with personal space problems will have to be very mindful of when enough is enough, or they will be subjected to their kitty's wrath. And finally the most important thing we must do, give them their space. The house (and possibly the universe) is their kingdom today (and always) and we must respect that. So do not go and pickup your cat when they are trying to sleep or clean themselves. It is just not worth it…

An option for some feline paw-rents is to celebrate your cat with a festive and playful costume. This paw-rent got into the Halloween spirit on this particular caturday and turned their cat into spider cat. And we have to say the cat seems to approve of this cosmetic addition. You just have to wonder how long it took for this feline to discover his new spidey powers.
As mentioned earlier the house is their kingdom today. So if that means that your fur baby wants to have a bath in the tumble dryer you do not say no. You say, 'What kind of fabric softener would you like me to add?' and 'What temperature would you like your bath to be?'
