"The laughing kookaburra is named for its distinctive call; it alternates between a lower 'koo-koo-koo' call to a 'kaa-kaa-kaa', which makes it sound like it's laughing maniacally—or like a troop of chattering monkeys. Its "laugh" is thought to be a territorial warning to other birds."

"The bulbous eyes of a blunthead tree snake make up about 25% of its head and bulge out the sides—enabling it to see downwards. It uses this ability to hunt among the trees for lizards and frogs. Females, who usually have larger heads, hunt and eat larger prey."
