'I'm fuming right now': Couple come back from vacation and find that their neighbors took apart their fence to build their own shed

Having bad neighbors is a nightmare, especially if they share a wall with you. What do you do in these types of situations? Most people just try to ignore the troublesome neighbors and continue living their life. However, that only works for so long—like, until they start terrorizing your own property. Then what do you do?? The cops can't really do anything until things have progressed way too far. And you can't really do anything beyond what the law allows, which really isn't much unless it's own your own property. 

The key in these sorts of situations is to get stellar insurance and top notch security system. You want to be able to get proof of your neighbors terror and then if they do anything that damages your own property you can have your butts saved through insurance and use the proof you have to do so. 

This OP on reddit came to rant about horrible neighbors. It's a duplex, so they share a wall and constantly hear a ruckus going on. The police have been called multiple times, but nothing. OP and their partner went on vacation and came back to find that the neighbors ripped out part of their fence and ruined it to build their own "crappy" shed. Their cameras, however, didn't catch them in the act. They just caught them walking into their yard, and then back into their's. It didn't show them ripping out their fence. So what do they do now? Fellow redditors provide sound advice.

You need to have your insurance, hopefully try to get ahold of their insurance. Give them your case number from the police.
