'I hope they remember the time they played with [fire]:' Food company researcher borrows 250K scoville spice extract to stop his roommate from stealing his food

Roommates can be weird, to say the least. Even if you're moving in somewhere with a bestie, you will still be confronted with a side of them you've never seen before. Whether you two mesh with those sides is the key. That's why it's important to find a roommate with the same home values as yourself. For instance, if you really hate dirty dishes piling up, you would want to live with someone who is also serious about washing their dishes right away. Or if you are someone who doesn't really care if the place is tidy all the time, then you'd want to live with someone who also doesn't care too much about tidiness. Get the picture?

However, there are times when you don't have a choice. In college, or if you just really need a roommate, these times you just have to go with what is given to you. That is when the strange roommate dynamics happen. 

This guy and his roommate were not thoroughly researched and did not mesh well. OP was doing an Internship at a food company and was given this roommate. The roomie kept stealing his food, even though OP kept telling him to stop. When he vented about this to his co-workers at the food company, the suggested a sinister plan. 

They had access to very high scoville spices for their flavor experimenting. If you didn't know, scoville is how the measure the spice in hot sauces. The higher the scoville, the spicier it is. OP got a spice extract of 250k scoville, mixed it with water, and sprayed it on all his good that get stolen. 

Sufficed to say, after the his food never got stolen again…
