A lot of the time, the best thing about being at work is the lunch break. Your colleagues may be annoying and all your tasks are boring, but at least you get that sacred thirty minutes to enjoy whatever treats you packed for yourself that morning.
It's a real respite, which makes it all the more unbearable when you work with somebody who finds it acceptable to help themselves to other peoples' food. This selfish act is far too common in many workplaces, but few have it as bad as one Redditor who was until recently forced to endure a woman who would steal one of her co-worker's lunches every single day. The problem was so bad that she was known as the "Food Goblin", with nobody retaliating as she was an otherwise well-liked member of staff.
When new recruit u/-Sathona- suffered her theft for the first time, they decided it was time for some revenge. Making a chili that required a little extra cooking to be edible, they placed it in the break room fridge with a note explaining the situation. The Food Goblin ate it after a quick microwave, and the rest is history.
