Anxious people will completely understand this story. The employee explains how they were under a minute late, yet still received a point for being "late." The computer systems don't care if you're one second late or five minutes late, it's all the same to the employer. So then the employee decides to be early instead. If your workplace is especially strict about tardiness, sometimes you just have to admit defeat and start getting on the road earlier in the mornings. In the best case scenario, you might just get there early enough to plan out a coffee run or explore the neighborhood you work in. Just saying… from years of my own anxious experiences.
