Time changes everything. It's crazy to imagine standing at the altar one day with someone, ogling at the love of your life, dreaming of a rosy future, never picturing that they would be the one to hurt you down the line. Unfortunately, life doesn't exactly play out like a fairytale, and people can be awful, even (if not especially) the people you love. One worker worked in the billing queue in a call center for a big company, and one day, this worker who we will call OP, got a very distressed call from one of the company's clients.

The woman calling was inquiring about a $49 fee for a wireless access point that she had never gotten. As it turns out, this woman's ex-husband was still on her account and got a 3-year contract to get a free TV. When the woman heard this, she began sobbing, and explained that this man had run off with a younger woman which led to an ugly divorce, in which he milked her for as much as he could. In modern terms, he ghosted her.
