Every generation commits a few fashion faux pas that will be remembered fondly decades later. Another trend that's dropped out of style is permed hair. I remember family members getting perms, because you never forget that smell! Perms make your hair have nice curls, but the smell lingers for ages, and you have to take special care of your hair so that it doesn't lose its shape. Having super straight hair is also no longer in vogue, which is a relief for those of us who applied heat to our hair every day for years.

Fashion is always evolving, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We may never agree 100% on which trends are and aren't slaying, but there's quite a bit of consensus in these comments.
