In the past week I seem to have developed a habit of waking up super early and then not being able to get back to sleep. Why this is happening I couldn't tell you. While it does make me feel productive to be up before the sun rises, it doesn't bode well for avoiding a midday slump. I have things to do at that time! It's annoying!
Whenever I'm struck by this, I have to use some coping mechanisms to power on through. This involves the usual suspects like caffeine, the occasional sneaky nap, and drilling so many memes into my skull that I'm too overstimulated to think about being tired. As I'm sure you're aware, screen time is probably one of the most effective ways of distracting from fatigue. Don't say we never do anything useful, because looking at the memes below could be setting you up for the day.
