This really encompasses cat behavior fully. Cats will be curious about something, and they will touch it - no matter how many times you tell them not to - and, of course, they will get themselves into trouble. And the cherry on top - when you try to help them, they will yell at you for inconveniencing them.

Hey, listen, if we really did have a bunch of cats with us on this ship, we would have indeed put them on there instead of Jack. Or rather, they would have been so spooked by the water that they would have gotten onto the raft themselves and pushed Jack off if he tried to climb on there instead of them.
