'OP isn’t feeling 22': Swifties hilariously troll Redditor who 'doesn't understand the Taylor Swift phenomenon'

As part of a human in a human society, you understand that everybody is unique and has different opinions on things and not everyone is going to like the same things as you. However, we are also a pack-mentality kind of species, so it's also common to want to enjoy the same things that everyone else is. Hence, popular activities, places, and, of course, celebrities. 

For example, Taylor Swift. It's not crazy that she has a huge fanbase (known as "Swifties")—she curated an inclusive atmosphere that catered to some of the basic wants and needs and thus a lot of people could relate. Plus, her songs are in the classic pop format that people tend to go crazy for. 

That being said, that does not mean that Taylor Swift is everyone's thing. One person who is in this demographic took to Reddit to get some help in trying to jump on board the "Taylor Swift phenomenon" because they just didn't get it. The comment section quickly got flooded with hilarious Swifty trolls answering in Swifty puns. There were, however, several sincere responses as well, but the puns are perfectly hilarious for any Swift fan. We added our favorite puns (and sincere responses) below!

    Font - Edit: wow I didn't expect such a massive downvote apocalypse I have to say that I really do respect her. I thought the rerecording of her masters was pretty brilliant. I feel like with most (if not all) major pop stars I can hear a song or album and think that I get it. I feel like I haven't really been listening to much mainstream radio the past few years so maybe that's why I feel like I'm missing something

However, the difference between Swift and someone like Michael Jackson or The Beatles is that she seems to dominate pop culture regardless of her current musical output, which is actually a new thing compared

    Font - I'm too old to fully understand it but if I had to guess I'd say that she's mastered the art of churning out content in the Internet era-- whether that be concert tours, new albums, re-releases of her best material, news headlines, social media posts, YouTube videos, etc etc to an ever-growing and extremely loyal fanbase and so she's become an industry unto

    Font - I am not a super fan but when a new song comes out it's like dann girl get out of my head!! I think her music is extremely personal and relatable. When she sang about "I'm the problem it's me," I was literally going through a time in my mental health where I was dealing with realizing most of my issues are self destruction.

    Font - I think Taylor is just mentally a genius and knows how to stay humble/connected to her emotions despite her fame. When other artists talk about themselves, they're still bragging in this day and age and the mental health sphere is about reflection, even when you're pretty.
