Font - Posted by u/lisab2266 12 hours ago Neighbor takes money off my property, calls me re M Friends and I were headed to the movies the other day. They carpooled to my house and then I drove from there. (Note: I recently moved into this new home in a very nice neighborhood - important later). At the theater, friend reaches into her pocket for money and realizes her cash is missing. Search around and in car and cannot be found. At dinner, she asks me to check my

It shows a car pull up and a woman jump out of the passenger seat, walk into my driveway and pick up the cash, hop back in the car and drive off. I decided to post on the book of faces, in my POA group, the following: "Hoping someone

Font - can help. My friend was visiting today and dropped some cash in my driveway. I have a video of a lady in a white car get out and come into my driveway and pick it up. I have pictures of the person and car. If anyone has any information, please let me know. This was a lot of money to her. Thank you!!"

Font - I refrained from posting her picture because those things cannot be undone. A bit later, a lady responded "I'll come by tomorrow". That's it, nothing else. Cue the next afternoon, she come to my door. This boomer Karen starts off the conversation in an angry way telling me my FB post was very roe because I posted that I have a picture of the person and "what was I going to do, call the police?" I told her she was lucky I didn't post her picture and

Font - that she was in the wrong by coming onto my property and taking something that wasn't hers. I mean, she took money from my property and she is mad at me! She said it was "barely" on my property (has she forgotten I have video?) and she was waiting to see if anyone reported it (but is mad someone did). I told her by her logic, if she leaves a bike in her driveway, I can grab it and take it home and keep it if no one "reports" it. She continued to argue and I decided I wasn't going to waste

Font - Fiery_n_Small 11 hr. ago . So...she's a thief and trying to justify her theft on your property? Karen alert. It sQs that she's living next door to you. But you now know that the cameras were a great investment. If I were you, just discreetly ask your other neighbors about the thieving neighbor Karen. 521 Reply Share

Font - blackcat218 10 hr. ago Reminds me of the time my partner lost his old phone (it was a 3310, so not expensive or anything) and when he called it some lady answered and he asked if he could come get it cause he needed it for work being a 19 year old apprentice. She grudgingly gave him her address and when we went to pick it up the house was massive

Font - and on the marina. Knocked on the door and the lady answered the door and then proceeded to have an argument with him about giving it back and that she should just keep because she did find it an everything. This lady's slippers were probably worth more than our car and she's trying to not give back a crappy $50 that looked like it had been dropped of a roof 100 times (it probably had been in all honesty). We did get it back but only after having to threaten to call the cops on her. 257 R

Font - paperwasp3 11 hr. ago Definitely the time to call the police. Hold that crabapple to the line right off the bat. 115 Reply Share USAF6F1718 hr. ago Can one get a police report made, but suspend "pursuing charges" until seeing whether this is the LAST time it happens, or the FIRST time it happened? 431 Reply Share

Font - Agitateduser1360 10 hr. ago I'd call the cops and ask to press charges. If you don't set firm boundaries now, this both will wreck your life. 39 Reply Share

Font - bostondana2 - 9 hr. ago Even in a commercial lot, one is legally required to give the money to the police. If the owner does not claim it after some period of time (IANAL but I believe the time varies by jurisdiction), then it is provided to the finder. This is why one cannot just take money in a bank bag that gets dropped, even on public property. Reply Share 35

Font - icaydian 2 hr. ago This may be slightly off-topic, but...I'd do a background check on this thief. She's shown herself to be less than honest and less than neighborly. You might be surprised at what you find (but keep the info to yourself). Forwarned is forearmed. You may want more than one camera. 9 Reply Share lisab2266 OP. 2 hr. ago Good idea 5 Reply Share
