This has been true for centuries, yet in the 21st century, it's become easier to find other, fellow weirdos using the Internet. Strangely enough, the rise of the Internet has made the odd things that people have always done far more publicized and therefore criticized. In 1960, if you wanted to see a competitive hobby horse competition, you either had to run one yourself, or head down to the bayous and hand out flyers until you found people with your same unusual passions. Now that we are privy to enjoy all the wonders of the world with just a click of a button, it makes some of us wonder– Do people actually do this? Like for real? Usually, the answer is yes.
