Font - afford a vacation let alone one without kids. Saved up for a very long time to take my wife on her dream trip to Bar Harbor Maine (We live in Kansas City), first night after a day of amazing hikes and boulder climbing to scenic peaks in Acadia National Park we fell sound asleep, until 3am.

Font - That's when I hear the two 25-30 year old women next door squealing in the hallway and constantly opening and slamming their door. I was young once, partied very hard well into my 30s, and I have a ton of patience, I gave them some grace at first. Didn't say anything. Fell back asleep and 45

Font - minutes later they are even louder through the wall and in and out slamming doors again. I get up to say something and miss them as they are going back in the room. Fully awake, I noticed the please do not disturb sign on their door, which I promptly snatched. Spent 4am-7am reading in

After we got ready and went out for breakfast I was there to see the maid knock and enter their room to wake them up and heard their reactions... miserable and hungover. I gave the maid a tip of $50 bucks and apologized for their rudeness. It's the least I could do for making her catch a stray bullet.

Font - TL/DR: woke up by rude chicks while on vacation, took their do not disturb sign and tipped the maid for waking them up.

Font - mungrol OP 1 day ago Update: I'm reading reddit in the lobby (Restless Leg Syndrome and can't sleep it's almost 5am) and talked to the receptionist that recommended hikes to us. The people next door got charged a $200 smoking charge for weed and were asked to leave the building because they were climbing from balcony to balcony. Apparently multiple people called the front desk. Wow.

Font - Desperate_Set_7708 1 day ago I've always liked asking the front desk for a wake up call at 5 AM and another at 5:30. 516 Reply Share peon2 21 hr. ago Hello front desk? Yes I'd like a 4am wake up call. Every room except for this one. Thanks!

Font - Fluffy-Addition8817 1 day ago I'm confused on why you didn't call reception and report them? They usually call or send someone to talk to them

Font - mungrol OP 1 day ago Honestly, I didn't want to bother the person working overnight by themselves downstairs with it and have them get into a confrontation with drunk people. It's silly, I know that's what I should have done.

Rectangle - perryyyyyy 1 day ago What do you mean? Op got his revenge by forcing himself to sit in the lobby at 4am waiting for three hours until the maid mildly interrupted those girls for a few seconds before leaving. Nailed it.

Font - nascentia 23 hr. ago I travel with a white noise machine, cannot recommend it enough. I sleep with one on each nightstand at home but just take the one on the road. Same consistent noise whether I'm home or on the road, it blocks out EVERYTHING, I sleep beautifully.

Font - wolfie379 1 day ago Helpful hint: Most of the "do not disturb" signs have "please make up room" on the other side. Flip it around and it's easy to pass off as a drunk getting the sign mixed up.

Font - billyw_415 22 hr. ago Absolutely NOTHING is worse for partying young folks...jsut do slightly louder things EARLY like dishes, door closing, vaccuming at 7am, etc. Shuts my neighbours up for at least a week.

Font - ▸ Historical-Deal7549 - 17 hr. ago Had this happen. They slammed the door every 10 minutes all night long (one of those hotel doors that slam every time it closes). Let's just say I had to go out in the hall A LOT when I got up to go to my meeting at 5:30 am. They were p sed. I laughed.
