'I'm a lion and a king': Guy gets rejected after three dates, goes on unhinged text rant

Bad breakups may come with the territory when we're talking about dating, but no one could have been prepared for this dude's reaction. He really goes through the full range of human emotion, calling himself a loser one second and then calling himself a lion and a king the next. First of all, a lion and a king? Who is he, Simba?!

It's hard to read this cringe exchange without thinking of your own similar experience because everyone has had one. Heck, I've been on both sides of a breakup, but I've never reacted like this (at least I don't think I did). That being said, one of the few times when I did have the upper hand was when I broke things off with a clingy person I had been seeing for maybe two weeks maximum. The real red flag came when I received a text saying "I miss you so much" after literally two days apart. That was after the second date. 

I decided to swallow my hesitations and gave this person one more shot. The third date left much to be desired, I could tell this person was ever so slightly bonkers, and I decided to send a cordial breakup message. While I didn't exactly get as wild of a reaction as this Redditor got, I did get a series of "I thought you were the one" and "Ah, well back to Tinder" messages. Yikes! Wishing this person well, I guess.
