There is something that every single cat owner will experience at least once in their cat owning careers… and that's a heart attack. Yep, you have to prepare for it. It's an inevitability. Cats are curious little creatures. Cats want to know every single nook and cranny in your house - inside and out. Cats will stick their noses into everything. And that means that, one day, you will look for your cat, and you will not find it. You will look and look, and your heart will be ponding with fear, and after some time - minutes, hours, you never know - you will find your cat calmly chilling in some unknown corner of the house, unaware of your heart attack.
Cats love hiding. It's in their nature to look for the safest, coziest, most (or sometimes least) comfortable place to chill. Cats will hide, and you will seek, and eventually, you will learn the different between a suspicious cat absence and a regular cat absence.
Oh, we've all been here. Sure, it's adorable when your cat sticks its face into every single place in your house to see if they fits and if they can sits, but it's only cute when you see them do it. Somehow, they will find a way to fits into the most obscure place in your house - you won't even know how they did it - and give you a heart attack. It's an inevitability.
And the relief… oh, the relief when you find them is so strong it's practically palpable. Years getting added back to your life in one second. And then pictures. When you find them like this, sleeping peacefully in a tiny little basket, pictures have to happen.
