I will be the first to admit that moving on from a relationship may just be one of the most heart-wrenching experiences we can go through in this lifetime. Whether the split was a mutual agreement or a complete surprise - there is nothing more heartbreaking than parting ways with your person. Or at least, someone who you thought was your person. Someone who you spent every waking day with for the past few years. Even if it is for the best, it still hurts.
Moving on is not just a one-step process nor is it a walk in the park; there are numerous stages, overwhelming emotions, and a recurring feeling of regret. At first, you will feel grief, anger, and sadness. While the easier way would be to ignore these feelings, we are here to remind you that in order to feel relief and truly move on, you have to feel the sad feelings first, reflect on them, and forgive… both yourself and your ex.
