There's nothing quite like loafing about. It's the weekend routine: do a little here, a little there, and a whole lot of nothing. There's a major difference between loafing and dilly-dallying, though. Loafing implies unstructured free time for hours on end, to be spent however you wish. Dilly-dallying implies plans in motion and things to accomplish, but the procrastination of doing them. You delay the inevitable by moving slowly and being unbothered. A dilly dally-er may have folks to whom to answer. A dilly dally-er might annoy the heck out of her friends because she can never make it to plans on time. A loafer merely loafs.
