'They decided that a 16-year-old should work 30 hours in 4 days': Understaffed employer gaslights teen into working all Thanksgiving weekend

If you have ever worked part-time or seasonal jobs, you know how hectic schedules can get, especially during holidays when most people take time off to travel or be with their family. The open shifts are sadly diverted to the few employees who can still work, leaving them slammed with overtime for their so-called part-time gig.

In this town, a 16-year-old girl works for the local movie theater. First off, the shifts could be better. She's either working 3 pm-11 pm or 4 pm-12 am. Even though she keeps politely asking not to be put on the schedule as much in order to maintain her work/life balance, the boss just completely ignores her. He even decided to schedule her Thursday through Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend, with no breaks during shifts. Keep reading to see how the teen handled the situation.
