Posted by u/Latter-Station2328 3 hours ago I resigned, they fired me, I got back at them. SOC Years ago I worked for a fortune 100 insurance company. The manager was a nasty piece, had a liquid lunch every day, sleeping after lunch. As a side note, I worked for a really great investment company while in college, unfortunately they didn't have an opening after graduation. Well, one day I got a call from the investment company, they had an opening and they wanted me. Sounds great, go through all o

continued on with my work. As five rolled around, my supervisor wanted to talk to me. No problem, probably going over what was on my plate, what needed to be done. Boy was I wrong. I go to her office and she proceeds to fire me for quitting. Talk about a really crappy feeling. I spent most of the weekend going over everything that went down and what my options were. Zoreb12 hr. ago My brother had a job with a 3 year contract. He got fired a year in a half into it at HR (he was called in). Problem was that his boss never submitted the signed contract to HR but my brother had a copy. HR said the firing was not for cause and my brother got paid out for the rest of the contract. Also collected unemployment (which apparently was legal as he was indeed fired). Wife worked so he lived on unemployment and banked the contract payout (paid monthly). Did get another j

HouseNumb3rs 5 hr. ago A lot of the managers don't even read the employee policy handbooks NOR care what's in it. They operate on plausible deniability all the time. See no evil, hear no evil... I'm glad it worked out for you because she obviously doesn't have good sense or any understanding about employment laws. It resolved perfectly for you though! Reply Share Vote AA
