The reality of being an adult in the working world is that not everyone is going to like you. This can be especially hard to hear for the people pleaser of the world. As someone who once upon a time would identify as a people pleaser myself, I understand the mental and emotional adjustment that comes with learning that some people are just not going to be your friend. Perhaps this phenomenon has weighed on you since your school days, or perhaps you're only just realizing it now because you learned your coworkers were going out for drinks one day and you were not invited. Regardless of when you learned this, it's an important life lesson. The key is that even when a coworker doesn't like you, as long as they treat you with respect you both can go on your merry ways and move on.

This thread was posted to Reddit by u/Disasterous_Ollie, whose coworkers often decorate the office with everyone's name from holiday to holiday. Recently, OP learned that one coworker tore their name down, ripped it up, and threw it in the trash for everyone to see. Now, OP already had the sense that this person was not a fan of theirs, but what could have warranted this behavior? As many folks in the comments section pointed out, it's time for OP to let go of trying to please this coworker because nothing OP does will ever be enough for this insufferable human.
