'[No one] has been helpful': Gen Z takes to TikTok after airline strands here in Florida and employee forces her into awkward ‘flirtatious banter’ to get her rebooked

This Gen Z was on a flight that she thought was direct to Chicago. That is what her ticket read and that is what she thought she booked. However, while on the flight, they announced there is a layover in Florida and she would have to get off the plane to catch a connecting flight.

Watch Part 1:

Then, she misses the connecting flight, along with many others, and is stuck in Florida for the night with nowhere to go. The airline is being extremely unhelpful and isn't even going to provide a hotel for her to stay in. Then, when she goes to the desk to rebook her ticket to Chicago, the employee shamelessly starts to flirt with her.

Watch Part 2:

Now, she's put in the position where she has to accept the flirting or else this employee might mess with the rebooking of her ticket.

Watch Part 3:

The worst part is that once the airline finally got in contact with her, they completely ignored all the real financial issues and only concentrated on the unprofessional behavior of their employee. Of course, the girl wanted this employee to feel the consequences of his actions, but she also wanted compensation for the absolute chaos this airline forced her into.

“Okay. Just had my call with a representative from American Airlines, and the only thing that she talked about was she was trying to get me to rat out the employee that asked for my Instagram. No explanation for anything else. That's all she wanted. She told me I should go to the police with that. There's no crime that was involved there. It was just very unprofessional to have your employee hand me his phone to put in my Instagram and follow me on the job. She's like, 'I'm on a recorded line, but honestly, I don't care. I'm going to tell you should go to the police with that information.' What are they going to do with that? I do have screenshots of him following me. I have a video of him as I'm panning because I'm vlogging the entire situation, right? So I can confirm that that's the same man that followed me. He has unfollowed me already because he's probably seen this TikTok. And what am I supposed to do now? Rat him out to you guys and then have him know my information, me being the reason that he gets fired? And American Airlines, they're not like, ‘Oh, we want to reimburse you for your flight. We want to do this. We want to make it better.’ No, they were like, ‘We saw your video, and we want you to rat that guy out.’ All of the questions I asked her regarding my flight, she was like, 'Sorry, I don't have that information. Sorry. We appreciate your time. Thank you for speaking with us.' And I just said, 'I don't think anyone at American Airlines has been very helpful.' She's like, ‘Are there any other questions I can answer for you?’ And I said, 'no, I don't think you can answer anything that I've asked.'…" She says in a follow-up video.

She still has not gotten any compensation back from American Airlines and her frustration is palpable. Need more travel drama? Read this one about the worst kind of passenger.
