'I am actually the manager on duty': Customer gets his card frozen after messing with the wrong employee

Have you ever demanded to speak to a manager, only for the employee to turn on their heel and come back with, 'But I AM the manager'?

Because I have not had the pleasure of experiencing that level of awkwardness. But this dude did… And he was not happy about it. What happened is the following: One employee by the name of OP was working at a toy store back when they were in college. You know, trying to make a buck or two while they studied furiously the rest of the time. A customer decided that day was going to be his lucky day, and he came with a credit card that was clearly not his, and attempted to make a big purchase. OP was the type of employee to follow the rules, so they asked this man for ID, which the man did not want to hand over. At least, not that easily.

'Get me your manager!' he yelled, to which OP replied, 'Alrighty then', turned on their heel, as mentioned earlier, and cheerfully asked the man what they could do for them. And the rest is history… Scroll down to find out what happened next. Up next, we have the top dating app flops of the year.
