The story below is of a neighbor rivalry. Instead of caving into the bigger, much older downstairs neighbor, OP here devised a devious plan to get even and escape unharmed. The massive intimidating gentleman didn't give up on his noble quest until his very last day in the communal apartment building. If I didn't bring it up earlier, I will now: the horrible feud revolved around a trash can. Yes, a trash can. You would think that in the face of all the hate and heartache in the world nowadays, people would just put trivial matters behind them. But it appears that we haven't made as much progress as I had previously thought, and poor OP was forced to suffer as a result.
