When was the last time you thought your dates were going really well but didn't know the true intentions of your date? Even if you ask your date the status of your relationship to get the communication flowing a bit, there's a good chance they aren't completely honest. It's very possible you are in the midst of a good ol' fashioned breadcrumber. The technique of breadcrumbing isn't a new one, but it's one that stands the test of time. Breadcrumbing is essentially being led on by someone who makes you feel loved and important even though they have no intention of actually pursuing you long term. When you come to the realization you are being breadcrumbed, most people are in some intense denial. Who wants to end something with someone who you enjoy being around?

Some people use this technique for years. Why not just be honest up front about what you're looking to get out of a relationship? There are plenty of people who would rather be in something casual and you both could keep from getting attached. Breadcrumbing is one of my biggest dating fears next to serial killers and getting to a third date with no kiss.
