'Everything works itself out': 32 wise men of 2023 reveal the most important things they learned this year

The tail end of the year is a time when many choose to self-reflect. When we're made abruptly aware of the unrelenting passage of time, it's easy to feel the need to take stock and/or go into existential crisis mode, and we're usually better off taking the more productive route with this. It's never enjoyable to be dealing with the fallout of a New Year's Eve breakdown.

While some of the things that we learned this year may have been difficult, it's also good to acknowledge them before we move into the great unknown of 2024. That's what some people on Twitter did when they were asked to share the biggest lessons they had taken from 2023. From relationships to self-development, many were able to share a few wise words that we would all benefit from listening to. We might continue to make the same mistakes next year, but we can keep that part quiet.
