Tiny But Fearless Baby Rat Takes Over Man's Apartment, And Unexpectedly, The Man Falls In Love With It, Feeds It And Frees It

Friendships can develop in unexpected situations. In theory, we know that. But seeing it in practice… can be both hilarious and wholesome as heck. And we have seen these kinds of friendships before. We have seen everything from a man becoming best friends with the swan that he rescued, and that friendship lasting over 37 years. We have seen a diver become close friends with a giant fish, to the point that the fish playfully nags him as he swims beside it. We have even seen a teen rescue a chonky bumblebee who then refused to leave her side.

What we haven't seen yet is someone being completely and utterly smitten with an itty bitty baby rat that took over their apartment, but that's exactly the story we have today. And you know what? If you think that you could never be smitten with a flippin' rat… then you have not seen this rat, because it is actually insanely adorable.

Okay, we are going to be honest… his reaction would probably not be our reaction. If we saw a rat in our house, we would scream first and ask questions later. We certainly wouldn't have the guts or desire to hurt it, so there's a good chance we would become friends with it eventually too, but we would not be so chill about it. You are a stronger man than us.

See? This is the kind of attitude that we should all have about all animals, and we are learning here. We will try, we promise, next time we see a rat where it should not be, to think of this moment and not judge too harshly, because okay, after seeing this cute rat… maybe we could give the others a chance too.
