JakeDC - 5 mo. ago We had a cat who would fetch pens at night. She saw that my dad used pens quite a bit, to write checks, make lists, do the crossword, etc. She naturally concluded that my dad really liked pens. So

at night while all of us were asleep at night, she would go around the house, find pens, and deposit them in the bed next to my dad. He would regularly wake up with about half a dozen pens next to him.

Riflemaiden1992 · 5 mo. ago When I had my own apartment, I was on the toilet with my bathroom door open. My cat follows me everywhere so he came into the bathroom with me.

He saw me peeing, so what does he do? He hops into the bathtub and pees in the bathtub. I guess he saw me taking a and wanted to imitate me?

25 whyarepangolins · 5 mo. ago I have the litterbox in the bathroom and my cat loves to pee when I pee. Luckily only in the litterbox. I don't understand why he finds this a social activity.

tired of this so when she tried to bring another one in I just said "no, no more living creatures inside please, thankyou" and she just turned around and decapitated it. Thus starting her head trophy era.

SWG_138 5 mo. ago I have a cat that does not care about storms. Every other cat freaks the h lout when a storm is coming. We had a bad one recently and the thunder/lightning at 5am was the loudest I ever heard.

I get out of bed to and grab a drink. I see my cat sound asleep on a table next to the window. I opened the fridge and she pops right up. Like, cat, thunder dont wake you, but a fridge door does.

metalflygon08 · 5 mo. ago She will not drink out of her bowl, or the trickle fountain we got her unless she is desperate. No, she gets her drink on when somebody goes to the bathroom.
  • 24
She hops on the sink and demands you turn the sink on at a small trickle and she will drink from that until she's had her fill.
  • 25
I get some cats like flowing water, but we have a fountain for her that does the same thing, but she prefers from the sink. If she's thirsty and nobody is home she will just sleep in the sink basin and wait for somebody to eventually go to the bathroom.

Zadsta 5 mo. ago My black cat literally smacks his lips (like opening and closing his mouth repeatedly) when he gets feisty. It's so funny to watch him and I know he's riled up when he does it.

saschaleib · 5 mo. ago We got a visit from a May beetle last night. Instead of defending the house, the cat was scared and hid under the bed. That's what we get for feeding this s ker every day.

CatboyInAMaidOutfit 5 mo. ago When I got for a walk, my cats like to follow me. And I've owned several cats that do this. I'm the only person I know who does this. People ask me if I train my cats, and I don't. I go for a walk and they follow.

Doubting_Rich 5 mo. ago Stalks the dog on the lawn like a lion stalking a zebra on the savannah, then pounces on the dog's hind quarter. That starts a fight of course, but a 6 kg cat (13 lb) and 13 kg dog are pretty close in a fight, and the cat wins as often as the dog.

I read recently that when cats do that, it's like they're feeding the toy. They're treating the toy like a kitten or an imaginary friend. When it comes to the water, probably making the toy go in first to make sure there are no predators in the water.

When I was a kid, we had a gray tabby named Bill that would get some small toy, usually an animal-shaped Happy Meal or Kids' Meal toy, out of my toy box and then carry it around the house and meow. He'd drop it in the middle of the living room floor or in the hallway and meow.

We figured he was trying to call our younger cat, Bunny, to come eat or learn to hunt. I remember my mom saying it was a similar behavior to mother cats trying to teach their young to hunt in the wild.
