Unlike its spooky namesake, ghosting's existence is not up for debate. It happens all the time, to the best of us, to the worst of us. It's so easy to ghost someone. It requires little (actually, nothing) of you and it makes a potential issue go away instantly. But if you're on the receiving end of a ghosting, it can feel like the rug was pulled from under you, and you're left scratching your head and wondering if you have bad breath. We think of ghosting as a contemporary problem, but I imagine it was even worse in the pre-phone days. A dude you went out with could ride off on a horse to a different town and you would have no idea. Maybe that'd be better actually, since you'd have no way of stalking their Instagram.
