It's so easy to lose your sense of play when you grow up. As a kid, I was always making up weird plays and performing them for my family, and creating harrowing narratives for my American Girl Dolls to act out for my amusement. I dominated the four-square court despite my athletic setbacks. I loved to play, and that love has continued on. In 2020, me and my roommates got so antsy that one day we had to go to the park to roughhouse with each other. It was a welcome distraction from all of the crazy things going on in our lives at that time.

When you're an adult, your opportunities to play get fewer and fewer. You have to seek out an improv class or an adult basketball league because God knows your job doesn't have them like your school did.
