I have a tiny salon and over the yrs tried hiring. My first employee i had to fire after 4months because it was not working out, we remained friends beyond her employment for a while. My next employee was PT & switched careers and we remain friends

haircuts as she came to me with zero confidence and every haircut she was doing was lopsided. Well i feel proud in my ability to have been such a great mentor right? Because in just a yr later, on my birthday week, she planned her out. A backstabbing, a betrayal.

She treated me like as if i was the typical horrible bosses out there when i have always made it a point im not them. Every meeting i would bring up how she feels she wants to be independent and that i would help her when she feels the time comes. So instead

she waited until my birthday to have a hissy fit as her way to quit and be out, but not before stupidly slandering me to my stylist friends who know me better. Come to have found out she was plotting- she stole client info from my booking system and

Forward her all the worst and weirdest clients i find! But also should i show up to her "grand opening" tomorrow with the birthday gift she gave me, broken in a wrapped box and be like "omg im so happy for you! Congrats!" To rattle her? ee D D

Winter Difference_85. 12 hr. ago Should you show up to her grand opening? No. It's a great idea to pass on your worst clients, but keep your pettiness on the down-low.

You could warn all your clients that your database has been compromised by a former employee. Apologise for the theft of their data and promise to take steps to avoid it happening again. (In Europe both you and she

might be in serious legal trouble for such a breach.) Ask your clients to let you know if they are approached by someone who maybe using stolen data.
  • 17
If anyone asks about her, just tell them exactly what her terms of employment were - no more. (You could tell them you feel let down by her criminal behaviour.) You are the better person. Keep it that way.

OkeyDokey654. 9 hr. ago She might be spreading lies about you, so I'd communicate with all your clients assuring them you're still in business at your same location and with the same contact info.

Excellent Ad1132 10 hr. ago They don't have glitter bombs where you live? I would have one delivered real early on the day that her shop opens.

marblefree 8 hr. ago She won't be successful if she's never run a business. I would definitely sue her over theft of client information though. It isn't petty, it's a way to recoup some of your losses.

always had to sign a no piracy agreement. Sort of like a non compete, but those weren't legal in Colorado. Basically, a no piracy type agreement says they can't do work for any of my clients for so many years.

LitBit_618 11 hr. ago I would be petty and show up with a huge floral arrangement and just gush with positivity! "I am JUST SO HAPPY for you!!! Let me know if you ever need anything!"

No-Cryptographer3435 · 8 hr. ago You have to make time to sue her for stealing the client list. All you have to do is report it to authorities. They will do the rest.
