    Here is the original post!

Entitled Neighbour poisons our lawn S Same neighbours as last time..... the ones who own a mowing small business and mowed without our permission then asked for payment.

Last few days I noticed something odd on our front lawn, a line along the boundary on our front lawn from the separation fence to the pathway. The grass was bright yellow and I thought it was odd.

Today my husband was mowing and asked if I saw what our grass obsessed neighbour had poisoned our lawn. Today the grass was completely gone in line with our separation fence, brown dead dirt in stark contrast to both our green lawns. More of the grass on our side is gone (80% on our side, 20% if that on theirs) but it's over half a metre in width side to side.

My husband mows once a week at the moment, as during summer/ rainy season the grass grows fast. So the grass wasn't long, or out of control or any weeds. Our only thoughts is that he doesn't want our 'common' grass mixing with his 'fancy' grass? Yet he hasn't got the fancy grass? What is his obsession with grass??!!

But also..... he's sprayed poison on our land and also on council land, which is a part of the spillway, which is a biiiiiiig no no here in Australia. edit Forgot to mention my husband said they had done it before out the front but not as extreme as this.

YepIamAmiM. 17 days ago You need some sort of grass killer that's not poisonous... you can write comments on his lawn and wait for them to grow. 134 Reply Share

TUGS78 17 days ago Notify the Council as to the poisoning and the as yet unknown potential impacts to their property and property rights. Let them pound your neighbor with the full weight of the protectorate laws.

Dragon_Rot79. 17 days ago Maybe see about possible legal action you can take against them. They are technically destroying your property

    Update!

Small update on our lovely neighbour. So I called the council after not hearing from them and I was told my details would be passed onto the 'poison guys' who could let me know what to do next. The lady taking my call was very vocal about my neighbours........neighbourly etiquette. She could see on the map he had poisoned over our and his underground water metres AND the underground fire hydrant.

Within a hour I got an email saying unfortunately council can't help but they provided me with a link to report 'chemical spray drift'. I sent one back stating it wasn't drift, that he was intentionally poisoning our lawn. They reiterated that that was the link to contact the government about poisoning land and it wasn't in their jurisdiction to enforce it..... but it was the governments job....... ahhhhh. Ok. Gotcha.

So I called the number and made an "anonymous" tip. They said it was marked as urgent and someone would contact me this week (she admitted they were slow getting back after holidays) but to call back if I heard nothing by Friday.

In the mean time my Husband mowed our front lawn. He then somehow set the mower to super low, bent over to pull a weed and accidentally pushed the mower onto neighbours lawn......while the neighbour was there. Husband feels very badly about it. Very very badly.

Notamansplainer 11 hr. ago I assume you know your situation best, but I think you might be poking the bear somewhat with your actions... Your neighbour sounds several fries short of a happy meal so it's hard to tell what he might do next. Stay safe.

StoleCapsShield - 9 hr. ago We've got a neighbour who likes to randomly poison around her water metre which over sprays onto my lawn. Before she moved in and even after I would whipper snip under and around it for her so she didn't need to poison but now she's poisoning around the streetlight which is on the council part of my front lawn and smack dab in the middle of where my little dog goes out to pee.

Verna_Mueller145 OP. 8 hr. ago We have pets, and small children. Our small street is all children....HE has children.... and he goes and poisons everything he's supposed to whipper....... en so odd. Especially owning a mowing company. But I'm sure the full force of qld water laws will come down on him.

bran6442 5 hr. ago Is he using Roundup? Get yourself some roundup ready corn seeds, they are genetically modified to resist roundup.

not a robot darkwitch1306 - 4 hr. ago Hack, cough, go to the doctor with your symptoms, I'm sure you and anyone exposed to it are not well. Use this as a base for going to court. Poisoning a lawn is one thing, poisoning people is another.
