This couple didn't plan on leaving Mexico with a cat, but here they are. While traveling through Mexico out of their renovated van, they were staying on a beach when a worker approached them about a litter of kittens in the trash that needed help.
Wholesomely, the beach workers along with some other campers banned together to make sure the kittens had shelter and got fed while they waited for the local rescue to come pick them up.
Though the couple has been looking to get another pet for a while now, their first concern was about their dog, Tokins. They wanted to make sure he was okay with having another animal in his space since they all resided in such close quarters. Luckily (and after some initial hesitation), Tokins came around to his new friend.
The couple's next concern came shortly after. Since they had found the kitten in Mexico, they had to cross the border back to America with the little guy. Although they've had no problems crossing before with animals, the couple's internet followers who were along for the journey seemed concerned.
So, the couple took matters into their own hands. They took the little kitty to the vet, made sure he had all his shots and proper documentation and got ready to cross the border.
Thankfully, the couple, their pup, and their newfound furry friend made it back to America without issues. We can't wait to see the new adventures this kitty is about to pursue!
From being thrown in the trash to finding a loving family, we think this kitty will be just fine.
