Every kid has a favorite toy growing up. Whatever toy that kid has decided to latch onto– whether it's a football, a plushie cow, a doll, a Lego set, or just a silly, crooked spatula –you better believe that that toy will be glued to the hip of that little kid for as long as their parents will allow. Favorite toys can banish nightmares, comfort tantrums, and even sop up the sorrows of the cruel jokes of an older sibling, so in the eyes of a child, their favorite toy is simply magical.
Which is why it's so darned traumatizing when that magical companion is lost.
In our next story, a good Samaritan discovers a forlorn stuffed animal rotting on the train tracks of his regular commute. Knowing how sad the loss of a child's favorite toy can be, the kindhearted commuter scooped up the stuffed animal and did the unthinkable. He rescued the toy, found the original owner, and after a few scrubby-dub-dubs in the sink, returned a fully refurbished stuffy to a child in need!
