As a ski instructor, Liv was traveling to do what she does best, ski. She was leaving the U.K. and going through an airport in Frankfurt, Germany when she noticed something very out of the ordinary. She noticed a white, very scruffy-looking, little dog wandering the airport all alone. She looked around to see if this pup had any humans keeping an eye on him but found no one. So she scooped the little fella up on her own and started asking around, to no avail. The poor guy appeared hungry and his fur was starting to matt, as if he had been on his own for days.
She had no idea what to do: She was traveling internationally, so she couldn't just bring a stray dog onto the plane without any paperwork. So she dropped him off with the police at the airport. She doesn't speak German, so even though there was a language barrier, she was able to communicate the situation and leave her number for when she was on her return trip. She figured if no one claimed the sweet canine, then she would file the paperwork on her way home and take him back to the U.K. with her.
Luckily, the airport police were on the case! They reported via their Twitter X account, that the pup was reunited later that evening with their humans. A happy ending and a while story for a traveling pup. If you like that story about a pup in an airport, you should read this one about a pet pigeon on an airplane!

“Update on the lost dog that I found in Frankfurt airport: A lot of you are commenting and asking me why I left the dog there. There was no way that I could take that dog back through security. It was through security where I found it. I had a connecting flight and I had no paperwork for that lost dog. There was nothing that I could do other than leave my number with the police—I left the dog with the police and asked for an update.
I'm going back to Frankfurt airport in two weeks and I'm going to check if that dog is still there. If that dog is still there, I will then file for paperwork to bring that dog back to the UK with me. There was nothing that I could do. I tried my absolute best.
Everyone ignored that dog. No one was helping it and I was the only one that picked the dog up and was trying to find its owner because it looked lost, it looked scabby, it didn't look like it had been in a bed. I did all I could for that dog and I will try my absolute hardest when I go back to Frankfurt to get that dog back to the UK with me.”
