'I know it smells crazy in there': Movie theater allows dogs to attend screenings, people react weirdly

I am one of the world's greatest defenders of going to the movies. I think it's one of our most sacred rites as humans and to think that it's in danger of going away fills me with existential dread. To gather to consume art, to pop the popcorn, dim the lights, and lose yourself for a couple hours… it's a beautiful ritual. That being said, the chance to include the four-legged members of our family is a sweet idea. Sure, they might not share our ability to appreciate cinema, but they like to be included. 

I understand why some might bristle at the idea, but the level of vitriol this idea got on Twitter seems crazy. If you don't like dogs, then don't go! Get in on the discourse and see what you think.
