It's so heartbreaking how cruel humans are to animals and how little punishment there is for animal abuse and neglect

If you know of any shelters In Indianapolis that are able to take her or you're in the Indy area and can foster please reach out. I'm going to try and do the best I can for her. If you would like to donate I do have Venmo and PayPal in my bio along with an Amazon wishlist.

I don't think she's ever been treated like this before
  • 24
] We're not sure the age maybe 6 months or older it looks like some her adult teeth are in but she is 100% a baby
  • 25
We also got her some clothes cause she has so many bald spots ///\\\\\\\\ TIL
  • 26
She's so hungry and would inhale the food so we kept trying to get her to chew first and then take another bite
  • 27
And then we had a nice walk. I think she really enjoyed her day

Reply to janice3g's comment I need an update on this baby as soon as you have one. I appreciate you putting yourself out there to help however you can despite your own life situation Penelope is food reactive if she's eating out of a bowl and anyone comes near her she growls and lunges

I have to hand feed her and she does fine but earlier I was giving everyone treats and she snapped at my senior dog when he came up beside her which scared him and he was confused
  • 30
After I hand fed her this morning I crated her so all my animals could eat just to be safe but she hasn't stopped crying
  • 31
I tried giving treats when she was quiet for a while but as soon as I walk away she's back at it. My heart breaks hearing it
  • 32
As soon as everyone was done eating I took her out and this was her immediately after. Does anyone have any suggestions that I could do to help her??

▲ Percy Try feeding her in the crate with the door open and you nearby. This will help her to stop associating the crate with isolation and associate it with you/food while keeping your other dogs safe. 5d ago 1189 Reply

EXT4UM happy.trash.rat she really just needs time. her brain is still in survival mode and hasn't figured out she is safe and the food will always come. 5d ago 237 View 3 replies ✓ Reply tossedpotatosalad i think it may just be too much change for her and needs some time to adjust. please don't give up hope 6d ago 140 Reply
