Cats are simple creatures. Cats need to be fed, to be given water, to have their litterbox cleaned, and that's about it. Or so they want you to think. In reality, these cats who will insist that they are the most independent creatures in the world who don't need no human to help them… want so much from you. Cats love attention. They just need that attention on their own terms. Cats love cuddles. They just need you to somehow know in advance exactly when they'll want you to stop petting them.
Cats love their humans more than anything in the world and don't let them convince you otherwise. And if you dare to put your attention anywhere other than them for more than 30 seconds, like say… when you're using that ridiculous lightbox you call a computer, our cats will make sure to express their displeasure with us by putting their butts right on said lightboxes.

Oh, we have all been there. We don't know how our cats keep doing it, the only thing that we know is that they do. Not only do they manage to get onto our keyboards without us seeing them, but somehow, they also manage to find and distinguish the specific 'send' button and hit that too, and honestly… we think that's impressive.
Impressive and hilarious. And also terrifying. 'Never leave your texting tab open on your boss's number' is a lesson that we, too, had to learn the hard way. It's like our cats can tell what the worst time is to do something, and that's exactly when they choose to do it - on purpose.
