Making a custom order can be the perfect gift, but only if the creator actually writes what you want! There are seemingly quite a few sellers out there who have taken some liberties with what they'll write on a shirt or a cake.
Getting a custom birthday cake for someone is usually a sweet surprise. The birthday celebrator gets to have a professional-looking cake to take photos with and commemorate the occasion. But as you can see from the numerous examples below, sometimes a simple request for a cake can go off the rails. I wonder if this is sometimes due to a language barrier. Maybe the person frosting cakes that day doesn't speak English fluently enough to realize that instructions don't need to be printed on the cake (I'm thinking of the cake that reads, "Contains egg"). It's also possible that these decorators have just had customers berate them enough times that they just don't question what's written down: they just ice it right onto the cake. It's very funny regardless, and hopefully the birthday kid will remember it as a fond memory.
Next up, these folks shared the silliest ways they've made money, like one person who said, "My dad used to pay my sister and I $1 an hour to be quiet."
