'Welcome home Max!": Fate brings shelter dog back to his ‘soul family’ a month after they missed out on adopting him the first time around

Have you ever had your heart set on a dog to adopt, but then when you finally make the big decision to go through with it, that dog is gone? It's such a bittersweet heartbreak. Because you are happy the puppo found a home, but you just wish it could've been your home. 

Well, sometimes fate hears your plea and reroutes your soul dog back to you—like in the case of Max! This sweet fur baby has been going viral on TikTok after his third (and final) adoption. He was left on a chain for the first 18 months of his life before animal control rescued him. Then he got adopted out twice, but returned each time for being “too high energy.”

A woman saw Max before his second adoption and realized he kind of looked like the family dog they already had. She wanted to get their furbaby a sibling, so after talking it over with her family, she decided they would do it! Unfortunately, when she went back to get Max, he had already been adopted. 

She was happy for him, but heartbroken. Until a month later, when she saw he had been returned again. This was fate! After a short deliberation period, she decided to race over to the shelter to officially adopt Max. Now, he is living his best life with a new family, fur sibling, and a huge backyard. He is already part of the family for good. A happy ending for a wholesome story.
