11 however I do have one piece of unsolicited advice for parents
  • 03
now the thing you see on my head is a T-shirt
  • 04
    because I have long hair
  • 05
and I just got out of swim practice
  • 06
    way to keep it nice
  • 07
but I've been swimming since I was five L
  • 08
and the reason that I started swimming
  • 09
was because I told my parents that I wanted to be a killer whale trainer
  • 10
I told my parents I wanted to be a killer real trainer when I was like 3 or 4
  • 11

  • 15
    they were like
  • 16
the only thing that you can do as a five year old
  • 17
in order to be a killer real trainer when you grow up
  • 18
is to become the best swimmer you possibly can

  • 24
you needed to do good in school
  • 25
    so I swam and I studied €
  • 26
and I enjoyed both enough and different ways
  • 27
but the one thing that kept me going
  • 28
    in any instance
  • 29
was the fact that I was actively working towards a dream that I had
  • 30
and the way to make it happen was to put effort into places that were real
  • 31
and available to me at the time
  • 32
so my one piece of unsolicited advice is this
  • 33
if your kid tells you would dream
  • 34

  • 35
treat it as if it's real BOUW JI
  • 36
even in the smallest sense of like viellen
  • 37
what they could do to try and make it happen
  • 38
because you never know what they'll learn
  • 39
    what they'll experience
  • 40
how that will change over time
  • 41
